Hello Charles,I regularly check your web site to see if there is anything new,but on checking the Roll of Honour I noticed that there seems to be a problem. The names seem to have become a bit jumbled with parts missing and some names disappeared. I hope you do not mind me mentioning it but I thought it may have happened without being realised. All the best for the New Year to you all. I enjoy your site.
Colin Watson.

Does anyone know if VICTOR DORES ever served, or was known by someone who served, on the Opossum? The reason I ask is that I remember as a child finding a rubber franking stamp in his belongings which bore the Opossum mark. He was obviously in the Navy too.
He died when I was 4 (I am now 53)

I am trying to contact either Eddie Sommerfold or Gary Holmes. My Dad Joe Howes was on Opossum and I believe Gary has a photo of Eddie with my Dad. I am doing my family tree and would love this picture. Can anyone help me please, thanks. Glynis Preston formerly Howes

Dear Charles,
Thank you for the kind words and the card sent from the association, I have tried to email you some photgraphs but it seems there is a problem with your mail box, it states that it is full and returns my mail?
I would be pleased for you to add our father to your memorial page, I have noticed that Doug.Banks is mentioned who was my father's best mate - it is such a shame but at least they can carry on with their salty sea stories on the other side of the bar.
